Welsh cakes (or Pice ar y maen in Welsh!) originate from Wales and are a cross between a cookie, scone and a pancake but are truly unique when it comes to their taste and texture. They are a delicious Welsh teatime treat which has been passed on through generations, making them now part of the nation’s staple diet and as symbolic as the dragon and daffodils in the makeup of Welsh history.
