Mike has worked as a Chef since leaving school, he started his career as a Chef at Madeley Court Hotel, Shropshire, starting as a Commis in August 1995, by working hard in October 2000, Mike had worked his way to the top job and became Head Chef.
As Head Chef Mike developed his love of food pouring passion into his Recipes & Menus, which included his own Chutneys & flavoured Pickled Onions.
His Chutney creations accompanied dishes such as Stuffed Rack of Lamb served on a bed of Red Onion Marmalade, served with a Rich Red Wine Jus, and not forgetting the fantastic Cheese Platters.
In April 2005 it was time for pastures new and Mike moved to Tillington Hall Hotel in Staffordshire as Executive Head Chef, which prompted our move from our home in Telford, Shropshire to Woodseaves, Staffordshire.
Our Large Garden & new Green Fingers lead the way to a bumper harvest of Green Tomatos and Pumpkins, which Mike turned into chutneys, and so our first products were born, although we didnt know it then..........
.............life in Hotels Kitchens became about the paperwork and not the food that went on a plate, so with Mike's passion for food still alive but drowning in paperwork, Mike's Homemade was born.
We launched our range in July 2008, with one goal, to bring to the marketplace a product created and developed by a Professional Chef that is a truly Homemade Product filled with the finest fresh ingredients & containing No Artificial Ingredients or Preservatives.
Since launching the range we have had lots of support from our family, friends and neighbours, to which we are very grateful, they have also welcomed us in to there homes to pick there excess Fruit and Vegetables in exchange for our products, which has created a wholesome community base for our range.

Greenfield Fields Farm Shop, Telford, Shropshire for there raspberries and welcome trips to local wholesale market
Brookfields Farm Shop, Newcastle Under Lyme, Staffordshire who have plenty of Pumpkins, if our crops fail
Muddyfoot Prints Farm Shop, Codsall, West Midlands who grow our Beetroot
Toni & Morris, our friends & Woodseaves locals with a passion for growing, who have kindly supplied us with lots of Runner Beans
And not forgetting Cecila from Penkridge, Staffordshire, who called us after eating our products and has provided many a harvest from her vast gardens, including Bramley Apples, Rhubarb, Greengages & Damsons
