Dingle Farm Cherries and Apricots
Dingle Farm Cherries is a partnership farming business between Matt and Gritt Foster and Penny and Richard Colwill at Dingle Farm, Little Witley. We started planting cherries in 2008 and then in 2012 planted our first Apricots.
The Cherries are modern super sweet varieties grown on special dwarfing rootstock which allow us to pick most of the fruit standing up and not hanging on ladders. We farm 10 hectares of stonefruit and will be producing approx 40 tons of cherries in 2015 and 2 tons of Apricots (our first real harvest)
We first started selling our cherries in 2014 to Harry Tuffins and were delighted with the positive response, not just from customers, but staff as well. We also started sampling from our Apricot orchard and we’re really excited about the flavours of these aromatic juicy fruits. They also made the most fantastic Jam!
